Our Artistic Side

Kingsley Manor’s residents are an exciting group of people with many creative talents. We celebrate these remarkable artists with regular exhibits and events in our classic lobby. Many have been honing their crafts for decades, while some others have discovered new forms of expression here at Kingsley. We even have one resident, Kay Holland Ameche, who began painting at the age of 50 and has since gained worldwide acclaim for her exquisite American folk art. Poets, illustrators, painters, crochet artists, woodworkers and sculptors – they all call Kingsley home and we are proud to present them to the world at every opportunity at the Front Porch Gallery.

We not only exhibit the artwork of our residents at the Front Porch Gallery in Carlsbad, we also celebrate those remarkable artists who’ve created them. The Front Porch Gallery also partners with community arts organizations to create an understanding of aging through art.
